Bonded xDSL

At Twang we are able to bond ADSL or SDSL channels into one combined "single" high speed ADSL/SDSL connection, by utilizing MLPPP (Multi-link Point-to-Point Protocol). Bonded DSL increases bandwidth by "bonding" together 2, 3 or 4 ADSL or SDSL connections in order to gain faster upload speeds. The downstream channels are "load balanced" meaning that Internet traffic is shared across the lines evenly however an individual user would utilise a single line per request. This solution is popular with businesses as MLPPP provides a single inbound channel suitable for VPN traffic and multiple channels out increasing the service's resilience. We only use our business quality connections for bonded services, coupled with Cisco hardware bonding offers the perfect solution to businesses requiring higher bandwidth without the high costs of a leased line connection. Should you also decide to take the BT Enhanced care option this will provide an improved SLA with a 20 hour fix.

Products needed for Bonded:
New or existing Twang customers need to order 2 to 4 broadband business circuits and take out the bonded option as part of the order Hardware required:
• For bonding 2 lines Cisco 1800 series router
• For bonding 4 lines Cisco 2800 series router
